   St. Sava Crusade:

Our purpose is to financially support the needy, including the elderly, newly arriving immigrants, students, and anyone destitute in their
needs. We took the name of St. Sava for our crusade in order to awaken us Serbs and others in the community for a greater good.
St. Sava's teachings urge us to do good deeds and to be helpful to each other, so we may be worthy of God's blessings in our service
to the community at large. St. Sava enlightened and consecrated the Serbian nation with the Word of God, and he has become a symbol
of peace, love, forgiveness and reconciliation. Therefore, we invite all to gather around the St. Sava name, and join us in our endeavor.

Dear Brothers and Sisters
in Christ:

With the blessing of His Grace Bishop
Login of America and Canada --
Metropolitan of New Gracanica, we have
created an agreement with several noble         Serbs for this purely humanitarian
organization: St. Sava Crusade, under the         patronage and supervision of our Bishop
    Longin.

St. Sava Crusade was not created by
    accident, or by ch
ance, but as a result of           years of contemplation and experience in         the parish, in helping people who
specifically turn to the Church for help.

However, the long waiting process for a
parish board to meet and deliberate upon         someone's petition for help proved too
late in some cases for the board's decision
to be made in aiding or not assisting
    someone in their urgent circumstances.

Hence, "let our people learn to devote
themselves to good works, so as to help
cases of urgent need, and not be
unfruitful" (Titus 3:14). With this in
mind, we decided to create and make this
    non-profit organization inclusiv
e of helping       everyone in need and available to the
    public in 2007.

We invite you to become a member, to
volunteer your time/skills in helping those
in need, to send us any queries about
working with our organization, to petition
us for assistance, and/or to offer your
help to those in need with a tax-deductible
donation. Thank you in advance and may
    God bless you.

                 - Father Zivko N. Kajevic

Our Petition:

Let's gather around the
St. Sava name            and join in being helpful to each other,             so we may be worthy of God's
blessing through the prayers of St.                   Sava.

"For we are his workmanship, created in
Christ Jesus for good works, which God           prepared beforehand, that we should
    walk in them" (Ephesians 2:20).

"As the body apart from the spirit is
dead, so also faith apart from good
    works is dead" (James 2:26).

Thus, it is our duty in word and in deed
to help those in great need.

Our Mission:

This organization of St. Sava Crusade
offers assistance to students, the elderly,
immigrants, and anyone in the community
who petitions us for aid in their difficult

situations. For instance, we have given
assistance in some of the following ways:
  • We financially aid students in their education, such as rent and books,
    and we provide several scholarships.

  • We help out immigrants in organizing
    themselves with
housing and securing jobs in their new environment.
  • We take care of the elderly who might
    not have anyone, but
     through our
volunteers, we can help them with transportation to their doctor's appointment, doing chores for them, and/or running errands.
  • We even organize funeral as well as     help with burial expenses for those without families or financially needy families who cannot afford the entire cost.
