Several St. Sava Crusade scholarships are offered each year, and the recipients of the scholarships are announced in our quarterly newsletter that the members of the St. Sava Crusade receive as well as in most of our Serbian Orthodox Churches through the parish priests. Each
applicant will also receive notification by St. Sava's day on January 27th of each year.
Applications are accepted between November 1st and December 1st of each year. All application materials must be postmarked by December 1st to be given consideration. If you have any questions, please contact us via e-mail, and we will respond to any of your queries. Otherwise,

Students must have a 3.5 or above GPA to apply for our scholarships, and the applicant must send us their official transcripts from their high school or college in a sealed envelope from their institution.
Students must provide evidence of having done volunteer work through their church or in their community: A reference letter from a representative of the organization in which you volunteered is sufficient written proof. They must confirm that you have completed over twenty hours of volunteer work and any additional information to highlight the applicant's contribution and service in the community.
Students must provide at least three recommendation letters with their application, and two of the references must be from their high school and/or college instructors while the third letter can be from an employer, parish priest, and/or even a representative from the organization in which the applicant has participated in volunteer work.
Students must write a one page essay response (approximately 350 words) to the following question: Describe your experience/role as a volunteer and what contribution you made in helping others in your community, and as a result, what you learned, discovered, and/ or gained from serving others in this capacity.(Please proofread and spell check your essay before submitting it to us.)
